Adidas, a German multinational firm that makes athletic shoes, clothing, and accessories, has teamed up with Ready Player Me, a Metaverse cross-game avatar platform. Adidas Originals’ Ozworld shoe line will be included in a personality-based AI-powered avatar creation platform launched by Adidas and Ready Player Me.

Ready Player Me is a cross-application interface for avatars that was created with the virtual world in mind. People can use the technology to explore several metaverse realms while maintaining a single identity.

Adidas has been experimenting with several NFT concepts since announcing a partnership with The Sandbox and Coinbase at the end of November 2021. Adidas cooperated with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project the following month, in December 2021. Following that, Adidas Originals released an NFT line in collaboration with Punks Comics, Gmoney, and the BAYC project. In terms of sales volume, the company’s Adidas Originals NFT collection has also become a top NFT initiative.

On April 8, the shoe and sportswear giant unveiled the personality-based AI-generated avatar creation platform. Adiclub subscribers and Adidas NFT owners will have priority access to the metaverse, and the first tranche of avatars will be released on April 28.

Fans will be able to construct metaverse avatars using the Adidas Ozworld brand thanks to this cooperation with Ready Player Me.

According to Adidas, through a customized relationship with Ready Player Me, each individual avatar will be able to navigate the web. It is the first brand cooperation that tests the platform’s limitations by allowing generated avatars to interact with 1500 different metaverse games and applications.

Ozworld was a futuristic brand of shoes that debuted in the 1990s and boasted a dynamic adiprene padded sole and upper. Fans will be able to build metaverse avatars using the Adidas Ozworld label thanks to a partnership with Ready Player Me.
